We Produce Profiles in a Multitude of Materials for Wide Ranging Applications

Laser cutting is one of the most versatile processes in the studio. Fast, precise and clean on a wide range of materials. A focused laser beam cuts or engraves by burning, melting or vaporising material along a programmed path. The result is a kerf-clean edge, high dimensional accuracy, and the ability to cut complex profiles that would take hours by hand. It is a core part of how we work, used for everything from cutting sheet components in a fabrication build to engraving fine detail into a presentation model. We laser cut and engrave acrylic, MDF, plywood, card, paper, leather and fabric. Acrylic in particular takes beautifully to laser cutting. The heat-polished edge is a functional finish in its own right, and we use it extensively in display and retail builds.

Precise, Cost-Effective and Fast

Cutting and Engraving Cutting goes all the way through the material, producing flat parts, panels, frames and interlocking components. Engraving removes surface material to a controlled depth, producing lettering, logos, textures, decorative detail and tactile surfaces. We do both, often on the same job, using the laser at different power and speed settings for each operation. Where We Use It Acrylic display panels and signage. Decorative panels and grilles for bespoke builds. Interlocking structural components. Engraved branding on model surfaces. Gaskets and templates. Packaging net prototypes. Scale model components requiring tight tolerances and clean edges. If you are not sure whether laser cutting is the right process for your part, send us the drawing and we will advise.
